Medan, (Analisa). Celebrating the 74th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence, the Brigadier General Katamso 2 College awarded 51 scholarships to outstanding students ranging from elementary, junior high, high school and vocational levels.
 
Chairman of the Trustees of the Brigadier General Katamso 2 College Foundation Usli Sarsi in his remarks said that the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia which is commemorated every year reminds us of the importance of defending the independence of the Republic of Indonesia and the services of the founders of this nation.

Teachers and students to always increase their sense of nationalism, have a sense of devotion to the country. Indonesia is a big country with 260 million people, 17 thousand islands, 715 tribes and 1,100 languages.

The wealth owned by the Indonesian nation reminds us of the enormous responsibility.

On the 74th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the government carries the theme “Excellent Human Resources, Advanced Indonesia”. To produce superior human resources, the role of educators is very decisive. It is impossible for superior human resources to be born if the educators are not qualified. Likewise, students will not become superior human resources if they are not serious in learning.

The presence of superior human resources, this nation will be able to compete with other countries. The rapid development of science and technology requires everyone to improve their abilities. But without good character, superior human resources will not provide benefits. Technology will be misused, leading to mass murder. That's why 30 years ago, the founders of Brigjen Katamso 2 College thought about the importance of character education and until now, Brigjen Katamso 2 continues to prioritize character education that is superior and competitive.

The provision of scholarships not only motivates those who receive them, but also those who have not will study harder to achieve good achievements. Moreover, the scholarship is directly accompanied by each student's parents.
