Rector of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University (MTU) Dr. Dompak Pasaribu SE, M. Si, CPA, symbolically handed over a scholarship worth IDR 1 billion to the Head of Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village, Medan Deli Subdistrict, Hendra Syahputra ST, MAP at the Merdeka Collaboration Gymnastics event held by Mabar Village and Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village, Jalan Kayu Putih Medan, Sunday (21/8).

Thousands of people from Mabar Village and Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village enthusiastically participated in the gymnastics. Wearing red shirts, the community did gymnastics together along Jalan Kayu Putih.

MTU University Chancellor Dr. Dompak Pasaribu SE, M. Si, CPA said that the provision of scholarships worth IDR 1 billion is a follow-up to the collaboration that MTU University has carried out with Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village. Apart from providing scholarships, the cooperation also includes research and community service.

“This is a form of concern from MTU University in Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village to the people who live in Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village,” he said.

Furthermore, he said, the scholarships were given to 20 people each in each neighborhood. Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village has 22 neighborhoods. The scholarships awarded are also for all study programs at MTU University, namely S1 Management, Agribusiness, Digital Business, Information Systems, Information Engineering and D3 Accounting.

Head of Tanjung Mulia Hilir Urban Village, Medan Deli Subdistrict, Hendra Syahputra ST, MAP said that the Merdeka Collaboration Gymnastics event was held to commemorate the 77th Indonesian Independence Day and received support from all community organizations in Mabar and Tanjung Mulia Hilir Urban Villages.

He hopes that the people of Tanjung Mulia Hilir can take advantage of the scholarship program. With the scholarship program, it is very helpful for the cost of education for children in Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village to the university level.
