Along with the changes launched by the government in the field of education, in order to face the rapid development of the era and technology which will greatly affect all aspects of life.

The most important thing in preparing the next generation is to make changes in our education system. Indonesia must catch up with the current state of affairs. From the PISA ranking (ranking of children's ability to master various fields of education), Indonesia ranks 72nd out of 78 countries.

For this concern, the President Director of PT Mahkota Group Tbk, Usli Sarsi, who is also the Trustee of the Foundation that houses Budi Utomo School, participated in the Character Education System Training workshop held at Budi Utomo School for teachers and staff of kindergarten, elementary, junior high, high school at the school location, Jalan Jurung no.33 Medan.

Usli also hopes that by organizing this workshop, in the future, Budi Utomo principals, teachers and staff will be able to implement a new and effective education system.

“I invite all school principals to bring change, bring a new education system, and with the cooperation of all parties, we will be able to produce a quality school,” said Usli.

It was also conveyed in this workshop by Usli that not only IQ plays an important role in the world of education, but EQ and SQ also have a very important role and will make children care about the environment and bring students closer to the Almighty, and achieve happiness.

According to Usli, as the current education system is more concerned with grades than interest in learning, students are judged not by the exam results they get, but teachers should pay more attention to the interest and willingness to learn of students and also the teaching and learning atmosphere.

Usli also talked about leadership and setting a good example for the children in thought, word and deed.
