A total of 41 students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University attended the Yudisium event at Campus A of MTU University, Jati Junction Building, Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No. 3A Medan, Saturday (27/8/2022).

The Rector of MTU University, Dr. Dompak Pasaribu SE, M.Si, CPA, CACP in his remarks said that the graduation this time was more special. First, because it was held at Campus A of MTU University, Jati Junction building, which is in the middle of Medan city center. Second, it is the first batch since MTU changed its form from high school to university.

“Maybe you have never imagined that the diploma you will receive is from a university instead of a high school. The accreditation and study programs are well accredited,” he said.

Currently, MTU University is focusing on admitting new students for FY 2022/2023. In addition, Dompak Pasaribu further said, MTU University focuses on increasing the human resources of lecturers to continue their Doctoral education (S3), increasing the number of research, publications and cooperation as mandated in the Tridharma of Higher Education.

“MTU University emphasizes on spiritual, integrity, persistent, adaptive and professional cultural values or abbreviated as SIGAP. MTU University continues to innovate and be creative in keeping up with the times, especially information technology and digitalization,” he said.

Therefore, tell all your relatives, friends and people around you about MTU which continues to make changes to be the best and provides up to 50 percent scholarship for the first year. Applications will close at the end of September 2022.

Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at MTU University, Manda Dwipayani Bhastary, said that students who participated in the graduation from the S1 Management and D3 Accounting study programs passed and were entitled to hold a bachelor's degree.

He said, students who participated in the graduation ceremony at MTU still had high school status. However, with the change in the form of MTU from high school to university, automatically the diploma received by students is from the university.

With the change in status, the number of study programs at MTU has increased from the previous D3 Accounting and S1 Management, plus S1 Digital Business, S1 Agribusiness, S1 Information Systems and S1 Information Engineering. According to him, the presence of new study programs at MTU University provides many choices for prospective students.

“In order to provide added value for students, MTU University collaborates with various companies and business associations. In addition, MTU University belongs to the Mahkota Tricom Foundation which is part of the Mahkota Group Tbk which is engaged in the plantation and palm oil industry,” he said. ​

In the graduation activities, a motivational seminar was also held delivered by the General Operations of DAAI TV and also the Chairperson of the Mahkota Tricom Unggu University Alumni, Tony Honkley SE, MM.

According to him, to be successful, he must change his way of thinking, attitude and behavior.

“If we think positively then you will focus on good things, happy thoughts and achieve success. On the other hand, if you think negatively then you will focus on bad things, sad thoughts and achieve unsuccessful results,” he explains.

Also attending the event were Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Arsyaf Tampubolon SE, M.Si, Head of Management Study Program Nasib S.Pd, MM and Head of Accounting Study Program Dewi Rafiah Pakpahan, S.E., M.Ak.
