MTU UNIVERSITY ESTABLISHES BANKING SERVICES MOU WITH BANK MANDIRI

Rector of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University (MTU) Dr. Dompak Pasaribu SE, M.Si, CPA, CACP together with Branch Manager Medan Lapangan Merdeka PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk R A Trisni Lukitawati signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the implementation of banking services and education of banking services at Campus A of MTU University Grand Jati Jucntion Building Lt 25 Medan, Friday (15/12).
This signing is intended to carry out cooperation programs related to the implementation and education of banking services with the aim of mutual assistance and benefit for both parties.
Rector of MTU University Dr. Dompak Pasaribu SE, M.Si, CPA, CACP said that MTU University used to be a College to become a university with 6 study programs. Previously only 2 study programs, namely management and accounting, are now added to information systems, information engineering, agribusiness and one of the new ones in Indonesia Digital Business.
“MTU University is a digital-based campus because it will make many digital workshops,” he said.
Students do not want to be left behind with technological information. More and more people want a faster life. To get it can not be separated from digital. Likewise, Bank Mandiri does not want to be left behind with technological developments, starting from opening accounts, transactions both transfers and other transactions to closing all done digitally.
“With the signing of the MoU with PT Mandiri Tbk, MTU students can further deepen their knowledge, especially in the field of banking,” said Dompak.
To improve the quality of educational institutions such as universities, it is necessary to collaborate with outside parties. This concept, he continued, is in line with the government program, namely Merdeka Belajar Kampus Belajar. This means that students not only learn on campus but also in various agencies.
With the development of digital technology, the banking service system has changed from manual to digital. To make transactions, people do not need to come to the bank, but simply use the application provided through a smartphone.
“Later, all study programs at MTU such as Accounting, Digital Business, Management, Information Systems, Information Technology and Agribusiness will be involved,” explained Dompak.
