MTU UNIVERSITY SIGNS MOU WITH TANJUNG MULIA HILIR VILLAGE

Rector of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University (MTU) Dr. Dompak Pasaribu SE, M. Si, CPA, together with the Head of Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village, Medan Deli District, Medan City Hendra Syahputra ST, MAP jointly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding education, research and community service for the welfare of the Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village, Medan Deli District, Medan City, at the MTU University hall, Monday (15/8). ​

The signing of the MTU University rector was accompanied by Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FIS) Manda Dwipayani Bhastary S.S, S.Si, Vice Dean of FIS, Arsyaf Tampubolon SE, M.Si, and the head of the study program. Meanwhile, the Head of Tanjung Mulia Hilir was accompanied by Development Section Head Renita Tambunanb SE, Government Section Head Nina Agustina A.Md and the head of the neighborhood.

The Rector of MTU University Dr. Dompak Pasaribu SE, M. Si, CPA said the scope of the memorandum of understanding was carried out by providing scholarships to the community of Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village, Medan Deli District, Medan City in the 2022/2023 Academy Year, developing human resources and community empowerment in Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village, Medan Deli District, Medan City, developing the potential of urban villages to improve the ability of human resources to support the acceleration of regional development, increasing technological innovation and improving the quality and competitiveness of the region and developing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

“Congratulations to Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village which was chosen as the best village in North Sumatra,” he said.

He said that what has been achieved, of course, must be maintained. He hopes that with the MoU carried out, the village and the University can work together so that the achievements made by Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village can be maintained and even reach the national level.

Meanwhile, Head of Tanjung Mulia Hilir Hendra Syahputra ST, MAP hopes that the cooperation agreed upon by both parties can be implemented, not just an MoU.

Synergy between the government and universities is very important. Universities have the knowledge and it is very much needed by the government in developing regional potential. Vice versa, the government has programs for community development that can be utilized in terms of research and service.

To achieve this goal, innovation is continuously carried out. Obstacles should not be used as an excuse, but as a challenge to move forward.

“I hope that with the MoU, each party can exchange information for the progress of the community in Tanjung Mulia Hilir Village,” he said.
