MGRO PRESIDENT DIRECTOR AS A RESOURCE PERSON FOR FGD ON EMPLOYMENT DATA COLLECTION IN NORTH SUMATRA

The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Collection of Data and Information on Specialized Employment in the Plantation Sector was a success. The event was attended by a number of competent resource persons, and one of them was the Managing Director of MGRO, Mr. Usli Sarsi, who provided valuable insights.
The event was held at the Emerald Garden Hotel Medan, Jalan K.L Yos Sudarso No. 1 Silalas, West Medan District, Thursday (19/10/2023), started at 08.30 WIB and lasted until the end. The FGD participants were enthusiastic to discuss crucial issues in the plantation sector that affect employment.
This activity is part of the effort to prepare the Academic Manuscript Draft of the North Sumatra Manpower Regional Regulation. The FGD participants focused on collecting accurate data and information in order to understand the dynamics of employment in the plantation sector, especially in North Sumatra.
Usli Sarsi, Managing Director of MGRO, provided valuable insights on the challenges and opportunities in the plantation sector that could impact the workforce. His contribution as a resource person is greatly appreciated and will hopefully help formulate more effective policies in managing employment in the region.
In this FGD, various parties, including academics, government representatives, and plantation sector stakeholders, had in-depth discussions to achieve a better understanding of the reality of employment in North Sumatra. That way, the improvement efforts and changes needed can be better designed.
This event is a concrete step in supporting the development of North Sumatra's plantation sector and improving the welfare of workers in this sector. It is hoped that the results of this FGD will become a strong foundation for the preparation of more effective regulations and policies.
