HONORARY CONSUL OF THAILAND MAKES A VISIT TO MTU UNIVERSITY

The honorary consul of Thailand for North Sumatra, Riau and Riau Islands, Dr. Ir. Martono Anggusti, SH, MM, M.Hum and his entourage paid a friendly visit to Mahkota Tricom Unggul University (MTU) in the Grand Jati Junction building on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No. 3A Medan, Monday (11/9).
The meeting was welcomed directly by the Rector of MTU University, Dr. Dompak Pasaribu, SE, M.Si, CPA, CACP accompanied by Vice Rector Yenni Martok SE, MM, MBA, Head of Agribusiness Study Program, Nelva Meyriani Ginting, SP, MP, Digital Business Study Program Eka Martyna Theodora, SE, MM, Information Systems Study Program and Information Engineering Study Program Sutrisno Arianto Pasaribu, S. Kom, M.Kom, Student Affairs, Roni Juliansyah, S.PdI, M.Pd, Duhu Telembanua Marketing Team.
The meeting began with remarks from the Rector of MTU University, Dompak Pasaribu. In his remarks, the Chancellor was very appreciative and happy for the visit made by the Honorary Consul of Thailand to stay in touch with the MTU academic community.
The meeting also discussed possible cooperation between the two parties in improving the quality of education, cultural exchange, MSMEs, technology.
“MTU University has six study programs, namely Digital Business, Agribusiness, Information Systems, Information Engineering, Management and Accounting,” he explained.
He said from the results of the meeting, MTU University really hopes for a collaboration between MTU University and universities in Thailand in the form of research, urban farming, community service, student exchanges, lecturer exchanges where university lecturers in Thailand teach at MTU University, and vice versa and many other collaborations are still possible.
“MTU University is ready and open to collaboration with universities in Thailand,” he said.
By collaborating, each party will benefit from each other. MTU University can certainly improve accreditation and universities in Thailand can find out the form of education in Indonesia, especially at MTU University.
“We are also ready to open classes if there are prospective Thai students who want to study at MTU University,” said Dompak Pasaribu.
Honorary Consul of Thailand, Martono Anggusti explained the visit to MTU University to stay in touch with the academic community and at the same time seek input on what can be done by both parties in developing the quality of education.
“We are ready to be the liaison between MTU University and the Thai government,” said Martono Anggusti.
Therefore, he continued, if there is a form of cooperation that can be carried out, MTU University can make a letter of cooperation that will be carried out with the Thai state to the Consul.
He asked that the form of cooperation to be carried out be explained in more detail so that the form of cooperation carried out can be known. In addition, MTU University directly shows the parties invited to cooperate, for example appointing universities in Thailand that will be cooperated with so that the Consul can directly talk to the university in question.
