MTU UNIVERSITY GIVES INTERNSHIPS TO STUDENTS

Mahkota Tricom Unggul University (MTU) again provides opportunities for students to take part in internships.
“Providing internships to students to be able to improve soft skills,” said the Rector of MTU University, Dr. Dompak Pasaribu, S.E., M.Si., CPA, CACP at Campus A Grand Jati Junction Building, Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan No. 3A Medan, Wednesday, (7/6).
He said that universities not only produce graduates with satisfactory academic grades, but also have expertise, so that they can answer the needs of the world of work.
Therefore, he continued, universities must be able to see the needs of the world of work. Especially with the development of technology, the needs of the world of work have changed. Many needs of the world of work are lost because they are replaced by technology and with the presence of technology many new world of work needs arise.
Meanwhile, the Head of MTU Student Affairs, Roni Juliansyah, S.Pd.I., M.Pd explained that there are two types of internships for students, namely creative media for three months with supervisors Eka Martyna Theodora, S.E., M.M and Nidya Banuari, S.M., M.Si and telemarketing for two months with supervisors Deby Siska Oktavia Pasaribu, S.E., M.Ak and Duhu Telaumbanua, S.E..
“MTU University is ready to answer the needs of the world of work with its study programs, namely Digital Business, Management, Agribusiness, Information Systems, Information Technology and Accounting,” he said.
Students who get the opportunity to intern first go through selection. From the results of the selection carried out for creative media, M. Naufal Kamal, Royanti L Lumban Gaol and Ummu Nadra Sitio from the Digital Business study program were selected. Telemarketing selected Rhiana Handini from Digital Business study program, Melvin Ekaryawani Zendrato from Agribusiness study program and Jefri Pranata from Management study program.
