14 April 2023
In a working meeting with Commission XI of the House of Representatives, Tuesday (11/43), this year Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati plans to distribute revenue sharing funds (DBH) for the palm oil plantation sector amounting to IDR 3.4 trillion.
"Of course, we strongly support the distribution of DBH in the palm oil plantation sector which comes from export levies (PE) and palm oil export duties (BK) of 4% of the total DBH allocation in the 2023 state budget, which is IDR 136.25 trillion. This figure can be adjusted taking into account the financial capabilities of the state., "said Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Employers Association of North Sumatra (Apindosu), Usli Sarsi in charge of plantations and agriculture answered analysis questions via telephone, Thursday (13/4).
The distribution of DBH was given to 350 regions consisting of producing regions, regions bordering producing regions, and producing regions provinces, including four new autonomous regions in Papua. For provinces with 20% of DBH palm oil, producing districts/cities will get 60%, and bordering districts/cities of 20% with a minimum DBH of 4%, the proportion of provinces of 0.8%, producing districts/cities of 2.4%, and bordering districts/cities of 0.8%.
Usli, who is also the president director of PT Mahkota Group Tbk, expects that with the DBH palm oil, it is expected that the construction and maintenance of road infrastructure and other strategic activities that will be regulated in the regulation of the Minister of Finance (Permenkeu) will be better.
Palm oil industry reveals Usli to be the future of Indonesia. So far, palm oil has proven to be the largest foreign exchange earner outside of oil and gas. When the domestic and foreign economies decline, the oil sector remains stable and able to become a driver of the economy. It is no exaggeration that the government and oil palm actors either directly or indirectly participate together to increase oil production to meet the needs of both domestic and foreign markets that continue to increase.
"By revamping oil from upstream to downstream, I am sure Indonesia can prosper the community considering the many business sectors related to oil," said Usli.
