CEO of Mahkota Group Tbk, Usli Sarsi gave a public lecture entitled Global Leadership to students of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University, Friday (20/12).

In front of students, Usli Sarsi revealed that leadership is a great person who bravely and humbly becomes an example and realizes how leadership is a choice and not a position.

Because leadership is a choice, everyone is a leader, at least a leader for themselves.

A person's success in becoming a leader is 90% dependent on character. This is because leadership carries out the values of nobility, which include exemplary, inspiring, and motivating.

“Leadership is not born but formed through a life process,” said Usli.

Therefore, becoming a leader cannot be instant, but continues to process for the better.

Having an instant leader will not bring good, it will bring many problems.

“To become a leader, you (students) must start learning to be a leader. The leadership process you do will make a good leader,” Usli added.

Usli explained the characteristics of a good leader are unselfish, controlled, team work show, embrace, wise, responsible, problem solver, inspire, broad insight, trustworthy, willing to sacrifice, determination.

Previously, the Rector of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University, Dr. Dompak Pasaribu, SE, M.Si, CPA, CACP said the public lecture was to fill the fifth semester self-development course.

“We hope that the self-development course delivered by the CEO of Mahkota Group Tbk can motivate students in developing themselves better,” said Dompak.

The experience of capable leaders will motivate students to develop themselves better.
