MTU UNIVERSITY COLLABORATES WITH RACC INDONESIA, OPEN DOUBLE DEGREE AND INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Rector of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University (MTU), Dompak Pasaribu and Managing Director of Rhema Australian Consulting Company (RACC Indonesia), Lina Minah signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Cooperation Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Arrangement (IA), Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

Lina explained, the collaboration between MTU University and RACC is expected to open many new opportunities that are beneficial for the development of education and strengthening international relations, including providing opportunities for MTU and RACC students to take part in student exchange programs or study abroad. This is expected to broaden the international horizons of students and increase cultural understanding between countries.

Both parties are committed to a double degree program. This program provides an opportunity for students to obtain two degrees from two leading universities, namely PTS and RACC, which will increase competitiveness and employment opportunities at the global level. Me mobilizes students and lecturers to interact and share knowledge in academic, training, and research programs. This is expected to improve the quality of education and collaboration between countries.

“One of the goals of this collaboration is to improve the branding of Indonesian private universities (PTS) in the international arena. By collaborating with RACC, PTS in Indonesia can introduce themselves globally and attract more international students,” he said.

He added that this collaboration also opens up opportunities for both parties to conduct joint research, which is focused on current issues that are relevant between Indonesia and Australia. This joint research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of science and technology that benefits both countries.

As part of this collaboration, more than 45 North Sumatra Private Universities have attended and participated in this Symposium. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that a wider academic network will be created as well as opportunities for greater innovation and development.

This collaboration is not only beneficial for educational development, but will also enhance bilateral relations between Indonesia and Australia in the academic and research fields. It is hoped that with this MoU, both parties can share knowledge, strengthen their international position, and open up more opportunities for students and academic staff.

The signing of this MOU is a milestone for both institutions to realize a greater vision and mission in the world of education and international cooperation. Hopefully, the various programs that will be implemented will have a positive impact on all parties involved, and make a significant contribution to the world of global education.

Meanwhile, the Rector of MTU University, Dompak Pasaribu, said that he was very happy that MTU University was one of 45 private universities in North Sumatra that signed a collaboration with RACC Indonesia. With this collaboration, MTU University students have the opportunity to do internships / work practices abroad so as to gain practical experience, improve international standard English skills and obtain two degrees from different institutions.

He said, currently MTU University also continues to develop cooperation with several universities abroad, one of the scope of the agreement can be to exchange students, exchange lecturers, comparative studies, conduct research and many other scopes.

MTU University has two faculties, namely the Faculty of Social Sciences with Management, Digital Business and Accounting Study Programs, while the Faculty of Science and Technology has Information Technology, Information Systems and Agribusiness Study Programs. The Management and Information Systems study programs have collaborated with universities abroad.

“With the collaboration with RACC, it is hoped that later all MTU University study programs can go international,” said the Rector of MTU University, Dompak Pasaribu.
