MAHKOTA GROUP (MGRO) NEW COMMITMENT LOSS DECREASED

Bisnis.com, JAKARTA - PT Mahkota Group Tbk (MGRO) reported a net loss of IDR 17.83 billion as of June 2018. This value decreased from the net loss in the first semester of 2017 of IDR 24.93 billion.

In its financial report as of June 2018, MGRO's management said its revenue reached IDR 836.59 billion. The value rose 10.80% year-on-year (yoy) from the previous IDR 755.05 billion.

The main contribution to revenue came from palm oil or CPO sales of IDR 623.30 billion, and kernel sales of IDR 153.93 billion. No sales to customers exceeded 10%.

Cost of revenue also increased to IDR 782.79 billion from IDR 704.29 billion previously. However, the company's gross profit as of June 2018 still rose to IDR 53.81 billion from IDR 50.75 billion previously.

However, MGRO still has a number of significant expenses, such as administrative and general expenses of IDR 39.66 billion, and financial expenses of IDR 21.52 billion.

As a result, the company posted a loss before income tax of IDR 18.8 billion, down from IDR 24.79 billion as of June 2017.

As of June 2018, the company spent IDR 12.76 billion in cash for investment, up from IDR 2.03 billion previously. Total cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period were IDR 14.13 billion and as of June 2017 IDR 20.30 billion.

Total liabilities as of June 2018 reached IDR 587.52 billion, up from the end of 2017 of IDR 550.19 billion. Short-term liabilities increased to IDR 428.29 billion from IDR 387.56 billion previously.

The company's equity decreased to IDR 394.44 billion from IDR 414.51 billion previously. MGRO's total assets rose to Rp981.96 billion from IDR 964.71 billion at the end of 2017.

For information, MGRO is an issuer that listed on the IDX on July 12, 2018. In the IPO, the company released 703.68 million new shares or equivalent to 20% of the issued and fully paid capital.

The exercise price was IDR 225, so the company received IDR 158.33 billion. According to Mahkota Group President Director Usli Sarsi, 60% of the funds or around IDR 95 billion were allocated for the construction of a new factory. Meanwhile, the remaining 40% is used as working capital for subsidiaries.

Another expansion plan is to increase the capacity of the stockpile tank by 20,000 tons in the business entity, namely PT Dumai Paricipta Abadi. Previously, Mahkota Group had a stockpile tank with a capacity of 76,000 tons.
