Bisnis, JAKARTA -- crude palm oil (CPO) production of PT Mahkota Group Tbk. And PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. Grew slightly throughout January-February 2019.

Mahkota Group corporate secretary Elvi said the company produced 16,131 tons of CPO in January 2019 and 25,636 tons of CPO in February 2019.

“CPO production in January-February 2019 reached 41,767 tons,” Elvi said on Tuesday (19/3).

Previously, the company projected sales in 2019 to potentially reach IDR 5 trillion or 2.5 of the target in 2018. The projection is in line with the completion of the new refinery plant in June 2019.

The new plant will produce CPO derivatives, such as olein or cooking oil and sterin, which is the raw material for margarine or oleochemicals.

According to Elvi, the refinery's contribution to sales will be felt in July 2019.

Meanwhile, Austindo Nusantara Jaya produced 34,750 tons of CPO in February 2019, up 6.6% from the same period in 2018.

The growth rate was lower than that of January 2019, which rose 11% year-on-year to 18,332 tons.

“In 2019, we remain focused on replanting in the ANJ Agri and PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (SMM) operating areas with a projected land area that is still under review,” said Austindo Nusantara Jaya Finance Director Lucas Kurniawan, Monday (18/3).

As of February 2019, the planted area of the ANJT-stocked issuer consisted of 49,861 hectares of core plantations and 4,527 hectares of plasma. Meanwhile, the total plantation area owned by ANJ Group reached 157,681 ha.

Meanwhile, the combined land area that has been replanted in the operating area under SMM's business unit in East Belitung and PT ANJ Agri's (ANJT) business unit reached 5,048 ha.

On the other hand, the construction progress of the CPO and palm kernel oil mill in West Papua has reached 65.6%. The mill consists of 2 lines, each line has a capacity of 45 metric tons per hour.

The first line for the 45 metric tons per hour palm oil mill and the palm kernel oil mill are expected to be ready for trial operation in the third quarter of 2019, coinciding with the first FFB production at ANJT's plantation in West Papua. (Novita S.Simamora)
