PROF ZULKARNAIN : STIE TRICOM PUBLIC LECTURE WILL PRESENTING SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS ACTORS AND ENTREPRENEURS

MEDAN, (MIMBAR) - Chairman of the STIE Tricom College of Economics, Prof. Zulkarnain Lubis, PhD said, STIE Tricom every month holds a Public Lecture Series for students, to motivate and share information related to the development of the business world. The speakers presented are successful business people or entrepreneurs.
 
The Chairperson of STIE Tricom, Prof. Zulkarnain Lubis, said that the public lecture which will be held every month will be filled by business people to share experiences in managing a business.

“Activities like this will be a magnet for STIE Tricom to attract students to continue to learn, innovate and develop their potential,” said Prof. Zulkarnain when opening the inaugural Public Lecture at the STIE Tricom campus, Wednesday (12/18/2019).

This time, the Public Lecture with the theme 'Current and Future Business Potential' presented the President Director of PT Mahkota Group Tbk, Usli Sarsi.

Prof. Zul advised students to explore the widest possible information on the development of the business world in this public lecture. “Let's take the benefits and make it a provision of knowledge in facing the future,” he said.

While the Chairperson of the Mahkota Tricom Education Foundation, Usli Sarsi, who was deliberately invited to give a public lecture, admitted that until now he is still learning in facing the development of the business world.

“The industrial revolution 4.0 is in sight for Indonesia. There will be drastic changes in the development of technology and the business world in the country,” he explained.

According to him, the impact of the industrial revolution will not only be felt by the business world, but will also affect the development of the education system. “Rapid changes will occur in the world of education which requires a link and match in the education system,” he said.
 
Usli Sarsi who is also the Chairman of the President Director of PT Mahkota Group Tbk advised to take the opportunity of the industrial revolution by developing the skills of students at Tricom.

“The industrial revolution requires us to develop skills by continuing to learn and learn to explore every information obtained both in theory and practice,” he explained.

Usli Sarsi reminded students not to let human resources (HR) decrease by being replaced by robots. “We know that in developing countries 50 percent of quiet work has been replaced by machines or robots, for this reason the business world and the world of education are required to move quickly,” said Usli.
