College graduates should not be oriented towards finding a job, but how to open new jobs. Therefore, every student must have an entrepreneurial spirit.

The industrial revolution 4.0 has brought about tremendous changes in human civilization. The use of digital technology is increasingly familiar in human life. Many jobs have switched from manual to digital technology, including the world of entrepreneurship from manual to digital. Therefore, mastering digital technology is a must for everyone, especially students.

“This year alone Indonesia needs 10 million digital workers. Mahkota Tricom Unggul University is committed to preparing graduates to have skills in the digital field, one of which is by increasing workshops in the digital-based business world, one of which is building entrepreneurship,” said the Rector of Mahkota Tricom Unggul University (MTU), Dr. Dompak Pasaribu, S.E,. M.Si., CPA, CACP, when opening the Digital Training Workshop: Basic Marketing with resource person Ahmad Rozy, S.Kom., M.Kom., from Kominfo North Sumatra at Campus A Grand Jati Junction Building Medan, Friday (31/3).

Mastery of digital technology to find business opportunities, especially small entrepreneurs, can develop. The government is currently very focused on making MSME players digital-based. This is of course an opportunity for young people to start a digital business. Marketing personnel are needed in marketing products through digital technology.

Source Ahmad Rozy revealed that before building entrepreneurship, first understand it, form an entrepreneur's mindset and character, follow the training, and do feedback from what has been done.

“Entrepreneurship is a process of searching, discovering, creating new ideas from existing problems and making, realizing something different from what already exists. The goal is to achieve individual welfare and added value to society,” he explained.

The characteristics of entrepreneurs are creative, seize opportunities, dare to take risks, can utilize the potential around them. Likes challenges, has high endurance, has a far-sighted vision, gives the best and is adaptive.

He reminded that success in building a business is not capital, but mindset. Mistakes in business are part of the process of learning to do better.

Don't feel guilty or discouraged if you make mistakes in business. Therefore, if something goes wrong, find out and correct the mistake in a new way.

Always trying to find new solutions to existing problems, all that is needed is creative, innovative and brave with better performance.
