PT reNIKOLA Primer Energi ("PT rPE") has taken a decisive step in accelerating its renewable energy investment strategy with the signing of a Build-Own-Operate-Transfer (BOOT) agreement with PT Karya Pratama Niagajaya ("PT KPNJ"), a subsidiary of PT Mahkota Group Tbk. This collaboration solidifies reNIKOLA’s growing presence in Indonesia’s bioenergy sector and marks the beginning of a long-term partnership with PT Mahkota Group Tbk to drive decarbonization efforts within the palm oil industry in Indonesia. The agreement was officially signed by PT RPE’s President Director, Mr. Khong Ho Ming, and PT KPNJ’s President Director, Mr. Usli.

This BOOT agreement is a major milestone in PT rPE’s renewable energy expansion, reinforcing its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and driving sustainable energy solutions in Indonesia. The project, which utilizes palm oil mill effluent ("POME") from PT KPNJ’s palm oil mill, will produce over 108,000 MMBtu of biomethane per year, resulting in an annual CO2 reduction of approximately 40,000 tons. The total investment for this initiative is estimated at USD 6 million. This marks the first of many projects between reNIKOLA Group and PT Mahkota Group Tbk, demonstrating a shared vision for sustainability and carbon reduction.

reNIKOLA Group is strategically scaling its renewable energy portfolio, targeting the development of 40 projects over the next three years with a cumulative investment exceeding USD 240 million. Backed by B.Grimm Power, a 45% shareholder in reNIKOLA Holding Sdn. Bhd., and one of the prominent renewable energy players with a 146-year legacy, reNIKOLA is well-positioned to execute large-scale clean energy projects in Indonesia. B.Grimm Power’s financial and technical expertise further strengthens the foundation for reNIKOLA’s ambitious expansion plans.
